We live in a generation where people don't know their history. If they do know their history, it is used as a weapon. These days, we have words like Oppression, Racism and Anti-Semitism that are used to shut down people that talk about history.
There are many other words of the same sort but that is not what history is about. History is for us to learn from and grow not to use it as a weapon to destroy people's livelihoods. New age Feminism, Hate speech, "Activists", and many more...
The world is sure soft when it comes to words but they are definitely NOT soft when it comes to destroying lives.
